Our hearts were deeply invested in this project, and parting with it was no easy task, considering the extensive hard work, time, research, and love that went into its restoration.

During our time in Gettysburg, as we visited museums, explored the national park, walked the historic battlefields, and indulged in the local shops and restaurants, we truly embraced the spirit of this remarkable town. We're now delighted to offer this home to its next owner, someone who will value the history and story behind the house just as we have. We have every confidence that this property will continue to be a cherished part of Gettysburg's rich heritage.

We consider it a profound privilege to have made a lasting impact on this extraordinary historic property. Despite being in the Culp Family for generations, the property had transformed into a long-term rental by the time we acquired it. Unfortunately, years of neglect had taken a toll, resulting in the loss or concealment of many original historical features.

Upon our initial encounter with the property, we swiftly recognized its potential and were filled with enthusiasm to restore it to its former glory. Our unwavering commitment drove us to meticulously rejuvenate and modernize the property, bringing back its original components. This involved the restoration of hardwood floors dating back to 1795, preservation of lathe and plaster walls, and revitalization of fireplaces, moldings, windows, and more.

Our objective extended beyond preserving historical elements; we aimed to seamlessly incorporate contemporary conveniences and amenities. Balancing modern design with period style posed challenges, but we are proud to assert that we met and surpassed these challenges. We are delighted to have successfully resurrected this exceptional property, paying homage to its rich history and the family who once called it home during those historic times.
